Who Am I?

akOriginally from Ireland  I have spent almost twenty years living across Africa and South America/Caribbean.  My work has taken me to amazing places from the roof top of Africa in Ethiopia to the pristine jungles of  Guyana. Merging a strong academic background with years of experience and business acumen, I bring with me a diverse range of technical expertise, contextual knowledge, and experience. For more than a decade, I have been an adviser to protected areas and biodiversity-related governments in developing countries and worked with an international conservation NGO. These experiences enable me to bring a unique perspective and understanding to my consulting work where I can apply practical, sustainable, integrated and different approaches, that are tailored to the needs of each individual project and organisation.

I believe the role of a consultant should be as an “enabler” not a “doer”, which is why my consulting style works hand in hand with the organisations at each step of the way with a strong focus on coaching and mentoring. This ensures not only are your needs met after each consultancy but that you are left feeling your work, project and staff are enriched with a better capacity to move forward with more effective and efficient conservation outcomes for the future.

I look forward to working with you someday, somewhere, soon! firstnamesign
